Welcome to the Twin Cities, Minnesota Chapter website of Graduate Women in Science. Graduate Women in Science is a national organization that serves to advance the participation and recognition of women in science and to foster research through grants, awards, and fellowships. The Twin Cities chapter serves the greater Twin Cities area as a resource for professional scientists and students for social and professional networking, outreach, and career support. We hold monthly meetings between September and May in and around the Twin Cities with dinner and a featured speaker. Scholarships for graduate student travel to scientific meetings are awarded by the chapter annually. In addition, we participate in science outreach to our local community, including opportunities to encourage science careers for women and girls. Members receive a monthly newsletter and discounts on meeting registration fees.
